History
The CTO, Freddy Eriksen and Mads Olsen founded LapBack AS in October 2004 after identifying the potential data-security threat while meeting with companies during their day-to-day business activities.
After developing, marketing and selling a pc desktop backup solution during 2004 and 2005 the company decided to focus on a new product, MobileWipe to address the upcoming problems mobile devices would meet as soon as they got more powerful. The development of MobileWipe started in Early 2005.
In Q1 2006 the board of directors found that the potential for MobileWipe was sufficient to enable them to capitalize the company with €540.000 in order to shorten time-to-market
In September 2009 LapBack secured a €1.5 million investment to further secure development, marketing and sales of the MobileWipe platform.
May 2010, LapBack started sales of the MobileWipe LifeLine products. Since May, LapBack has signed contracts with several telecom operators among others.
